Yet there are many things that you may never be aware of that go on behind the scenes in a dental office.  These are often even more important in providing safe, quality dentistry.

They include the following:

• We use only American dental labs and the best materials for your crowns, bridges and partials. Many dentists are using labs in China, Vietnam and India that will make crowns for 1/4 the cost of American labs.  You have no idea what kind of metals or ceramics are being used. These labs have no government oversight.

• We use the best dental materials from such companies as 3M, Kerr (Romulus, MI based) and Kodak.  There are cheaper generics for almost anything.  We don’t use them.

• We have 5 sterilizers in the office along with ultrasonic cleaners that insure that anything used in our office is either heat sterilized or disposable.

•  We have an ultraviolet water sterilization system that brings bacterial counts in our water below that of tap water.

• We have a dental service technician who visits our office three or more times a week to make sure that all equipment is working properly to insure safe treatment.
